Darum Camping is situated on the outskirts of the town of Darum - close to the Wadden Sea in scenic areas of marshland between Esbjerg and Ribe.
There are excellent opportunities for walking and cycling, to Sneum sluice for example, where the Sneum River flows into the Wadden Sea. Around the Sneum sluice is one of the country's best bird locations, where a large shallow wetland with small landscaped islands attract large numbers of breeding birds.
In St. Darum there are many old, well-kept houses and farms and a beautiful medieval church, where the oldest part of the church was built around the year 1200. From the church, you can walk along the old church road through Sønderbyen to the open meadows and marshes by the Wadden Sea.
A stay at Darum Camping can also be used as a starting point for visits to Denmark's oldest town, Ribe, or Denmark's youngest big city, Esbjerg.
Ribe was founded in the Viking Age. A walk in the old town offers much history, beautiful old buildings and not least, charm.
Esbjerg is Denmark's fifth largest city. There are plenty of shopping opportunities, such as along Denmark's longest pedestrian street. Also, discover Esbjerg harbour, Fishery and Maritime Museum or join an eventful seal safari on the Wadden Sea.
The Fanø islands, Mandø and Romø are also worth a visit.
